About Us
Welcome to Cochran IT Services
Ideally located between Bourne, Sleaford, Spalding and Grantham I provide IT support throughout the South Lincolnshire area. I pride myself on being able to provide a very high quality service to my customers, which is designed to fit in with the specific needs of their businesses and homes.
I started Cochran IT Services in order to provide a more personal IT service and take the hassles away from my customers so that their time can be freed up for the more important things in life. Many occasions this has added productivity and value to businesses allowing their staff to focus on what they need to be doing rather than get tied down with day to day IT issues.
Since 1995, I have been providing IT support throughout the area and building a wealth of experience and professional knowledge. As an experienced consultant and analyst I have been responsible for managing and implementing many projects from start to finish e.g. implementing a new server for a company and providing backup solutions to protect the company/users data. I offer ongoing consulting services and advice to help get the best out of software and improve productivity.
During this time I have been privileged to have received a great deal of praise and acknowledgement from the clients whose systems I have worked on.
Much of this accolade has been as a result of working with and understanding the needs of small and medium sized businesses. My clients both business and domestic know that I can, and do supply the service that they need the most.
Over 12 years whilst working as a consultant and analyst for 2 of the largest IT support companies in the area I have been fortunate to have been able to work with many well known local companies.
- Planning, advising and undertaking complete installations, migrations, site developments, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Arranging Internet connectivity, registering domains and company email (Exchange, IMAP and POP3), Broadband routers, modems and managed firewalls.
- Maintaining the smooth running of many networks from 5 to 150 users.
- Regular Active Directory (network user) management.
- Physical network design and implementation. LAN and WAN sites. VPNs. Cat5/6, PoE and fibre optic networks. Cat 5/6 cable construction. Wireless networking.
These companies range from accountants, nursery growers, solicitors, builders, butchers, hotels, cosmetic producers, farmers, local schools and nurseries, many varied home based businesses and so much more.
The wealth of experience gained from working with such a diverse range has been invaluable.
Previous to all of the above and the origins to where I first caught the IT bug, my career started off in the MOD. I was working for NATO while serving with the British Army. During this time while working upon a million pound IT installation while based at the NATO headquarters for the Mediterranean, I decided that I would leave the forces to continue my IT work, helping users and offering IT support in the civilian world. And so here I am today after many years still enjoying my work!
Thank you to all my clients.
